Google TV Internet Player by Sony

Internet giant Google has teamed up with Sony to bring us Google TV (NSZ-GS7). First launched at the beginning of this year at the CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show). Clearly the collaboration indicates that Google TV will be a combination of internet and television.

The console which you plug into your television will enable users to easily browse for their favourite content through the freedom of high speed internet using Google Chrome. Incorporating a dual-sided remote control that allows for simultaneous access to a full keyboard for searching and checking up on social media updates.

The blu-ray DVD player is an optional add-on which includes a universal remote that integrates voice controls, and has a motion sensor
for playing games. An application will enable your smartphone to control the television. Does this mean the end of remote control wars?
