The leftover stool by German designer Klemens Schillinger is conceived as simple furniture pieces using a bucket as the mould for the seating surface. wooden offcuts are then clamped into the void, where concrete is poured in, leaving the stools dry and ready for use within a few hours.

These knitted decorated stools by Claire-Anne O’Brien are inspired by elements of the knitted stitch itself such as rings and loops, the structures are revealed and celebrated through exaggerated scale in bold and textured forms. Lambswool and Sheep’s wool, in a mix of hand and machine knit stitches, are constructed into playful statement pieces.

Claire-Anne is a textile designer specialising in knitting. Originally from Ireland she has recently graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in Textiles. Her work plays with technique and scale creating playful and tactile fabrics for interiors. This sculptural approach to textiles brings fabrics to life in three dimensions through form exploration and furniture.

Italian brand Serralunga has collaborated with designer Raffaella Mangiarotti to re-design the classic Barceloneta chair, giving it an innovative and comfortable feel and, for the first time, making it practical for outdoor use. The chair is easy to stack and therefore an excellent space-saver, especially for contract use by substituting the quilted leather with the practicality of plastic while maintaining the “capitonnè” effect for the backrest. The allure of this classic piece was enhanced through the use of plastic materials in a sophisticated rotating moulding system.

The Filament Wound Stool collection by a New York-based studio Moorhead & Moorhead is a collection of three seating objects.

Bench B is the most recent addition to the extrusions collection conceived by German designer Konstantin Grcic and produced by Spanish company BD Barcelona Design. The first piece to début in the series was a table in which the wanted to reference the history of the - manufacturing designs which combine the artisanal with the industrial – by developing it from extruded aluminium.

The chair can be used as a one-seater or arranged to extend into a bench up to 6 metres long.

Drawing references from the famous Barcelona chair by Mies van der Rohe, Bench B can function as a one-seater side chair, with or without arms, and can be arranged into a bench of up to 6 meters long if needed. meant for both indoor and outdoor applications, the entirely aluminium construction, which can also be upholstered, is a kit of parts which can be transformed into very different typologies or bench uses.

Street Lamp benches by Ivan Navarro and Courtney Smith are benches that illuminate at night. Ivan Navarro is well recognised for his innovative use of light, he collaborated with French sculptor Courtney Smith to re-think the humble park bench for art public during Art Basel Miami Beach 2012.

The density of cast iron and the fragility of neon tubes, to create an object that contradicts the function of both. Resulting in an artistic composition that conflicts with the role of its traditional audience – the public, usurping the role of urban furniture.

Art public is a specialised platform to present outdoor sculptures, interventions and performances within an open and public exhibition format.

Pig On The Wings Stool by Gentle Giants is a tribute to surrealist artist and photographer Meret Oppenheim. Belonging to a breed of little anthropomorphic wood objects, this collection is both a stool and a table which has animal features.

The form draws on the simple Traccia table by Meret Oppenheim. The challenge facing the production of the poplar wood seating object was to reduce manufacturing processes; to build an evocative and high quality item using few steps. The stool is assembled without using any screws or glue, with all parts wedged into one another.

Available in four colour variations: navy, orange, mint green and white.
